Energy efficiency represents approximately 50% of the carbon reductions needed to solve the climate crisis. However, energy efficiency has traditionally been difficult to scale due to data challenges related to measurement, valuation and discovery. These challenges can largely be overcome by systematically opening energy datasets to the business and policy world. This presentation will discuss the challenges and opportunities related to #OpenEnergyData, and give a vision for the development of Energy Data Centers that will unlock market and policy innovations across the country.
