Despite India’s capital having one of the highest concentrations of damaging PM2.5 pollution, defensive investments in inexpensive pollution masks seem to be very low in Delhi. Using experimental variation, we attempt to unpack the demand for pollution masks and measure the willingness-to-pay for air quality in Delhi.
