Abstract:
Animal agriculture is a major contributor to climate change, yet it is rarely mentioned in policy debates. From greenhouse gas emissions to water pollution, the externalities imposed by the meat and dairy industry are becoming ever more visible. Marginalized communities are typically the first to experience these effects, but they affect the planet as a whole. I will be providing a broad overview of the different ways in which animal agriculture is impacting our environment.
